Seasonal Swap News
See Wendy, now this finally is your seasonal swap parcel and card. I've finished it this morning and will send it out to you today! It's not the best photo I'm afraid, but it was still kind of dark this morning:

Little Easter decorations
I've made this little card a few days ago and just thought it might look good as a Easter decoration here in the blog:
I've also made more of these little bunnies (Some think he looks like a kangaroo lol but it's a hare I swear! ) because you can decorate him everywhere, like here on the big ostrich egg:
Yesterday I've decorated some eggs outside of my living room window on the vine cirrus:

Another altered egg
I've also altered and decorated another type of paper maché egg. The bunny is made out of a paper napkin, pasted on cardboard and cutted out. The little flag is bilingual ;-)

Papier-mâché Easter eggs
Totally inspired by the imaginative papier-mâché Easter eggs that Ulla has altered and posted on her Blog http://ullam.typepad.com/ullabenulla/ a few weeks ago, I've tried my hand on some papier-mâché eggs that I luckily found in our local craft store. Now this is what came out of my attempt:

Seasonal Swap News
Yesterday I've got my rose themed swap parcel from Wendy at http://www.fairycakegirl.typepad.com/. I found English rose flavoured tea bags, a rose soap, rose bodymilk and rose scented oil, all beautifully wrapped along with a lovely peonie card. Thank you very much dear Wendy, you knew my love for roses, right ;-)

The rescue of the Greenfinch
I just have to show you these photos which Maria, a friend from my German garden blog, took on sunday:
She was working in her garden, when she heard some continuous fluttering up from a tree and was wondering what was going on, so she went to have a look and saw this little Greenfinch, who got trapped by some wire, hanging in the trees. She called her hubby for help and they rescued him. Aren't these cute photos?

Sunday Collage
I've had a very busy weekend, Friday after work I've visited a wonderful garden show with a friend and my mum, it was so lovely to see all the flowers and yesterday I had a fitness day with my daughter and in the evening my sis and her husband came to see us. So today I really felt the need to do something creative and I've finished another collage. There is just something so satisfying about finishing a new collage project.

Carduelis spinus - Siskin - Erlenzeisig
Well just yesterday I found out through Robyn's blog http://dailyparcels.blogspot.com/ that my ya ya name is "Duchess sings like a bird" (I wish lol) Seeing that I love songbirds this is the perfect name for me. And when I came home then I've got the chance to take some photos of a cute little songbird that came to my birdfeeder for the first time. It's a siskin that normally lives in the woods where alder trees and birch trees grows.

Rose Collages
I've been in rose mood again as you can see on my two latest collages. The first one I've sent to a friend for her birthday (to the one who paints/draws on the eggs) and the second I've pasted on a big canvas:

Still snowing
I wonder if this winter will ever come to an end?
When I woke up on Friday morning all the garden was covered in snow again and it's so cold that the houses are icicled and the snow lasts and lasts.
Pictures from Friday:
Pictures from today:

At least we've had a sunny day with blue sky today and I did a nice 2 hours walk through the nature with my mum.

We've had a bit of snow again this morning, when I took these pictures. It's incredible when you think that in maybe two or three weeks it'll be blooming everywhere!
