Bitten by the jug bug!

Yes I admit it, I've been bitten by the jug bug, since a long time, I love jugs, all kind of whether they are new, vintage or really old, made from porcelain, enamel, stoneware or glass. So after I've read the post about Niki's delightful jug collection on her blog here I decided to join in and get my jugs out to take pictures and post them. Click on the photos to enlarge them and see more details.

I think the rose jugs are still my favourites:

but as you can see I also love enamel jugs:

and the glass jugs of course!

I have had even more jugs but I gave some away when I moved houses two years ago thinking I will not get them all in my new house, ha ha how stupid was I!

Well all in all I blame my mum for giving me the jug bug! She has a great collection of beautiful jugs too, some precious antique pieces are displayed in the cabinet of this dresser:

Okay then it looks like these are all photos blogger is going to let me post today, but I think you've got an impression of my jug love, don't you? Anymore jug lovers out there in the blogging neighbourhood?

Other than that I was busy with my daughters 19th birthday last week and with crafting Valentine collages and working of course and trying to change my blogger account into the new version, now that it is out of beta, but it won't let me so I just have to hang in there with the old version some time longer I think.

I hope you all have had a good start in the new year so far!

So long! xox

WOW! Carol, what an amazing collection!!
The china ones with roses on are goreous. And I love your enamelware collection....not just the jugs...the soap powder and utensil racks are lovely.
Thanks for taking the time to share, -it must have taken some effort to collect them all together to photgraph!
Belated Happy Birthday to your daughter!
Look forward to seeing the Valentine collages.

Wow, I love your collection. All of it. I love jugs as well. There is so much you can do with them. I like to take flowers from my garden in the summer and place them in a crisp white jug and set it on the kitchen table. It makes me so happy to look at them. But where do you manage to store them all???? Great post. TWT

Oh Carol, those bugs are soooo pretty.... What a beautiful collection! Where do you store them all now as the "photo shooting" is over? ;-))

P.S.: I am sorry to learn that you encountered difficulties when you tried to switch over to the new blogger version! I did it last week and it was ... more than easy!

What a magnificent collection of jugs you own Carol. I’ve spent a very enjoyable time looking more closely into your pictures. I just love the glass fronted cupboard and the display you have in there. Marion

Yes, I'm also a jug lover. And I have a lot, but not at one place.
Your rose jugs are very lovely.
Wie lange hast du gebraucht, um das alles für uns aufzustellen?

Carol, oh what a lovely collection you have and how wonderful for me to have the pleasure of seeing it. I realized by seeing your collection that I too have, somewhere along my walk in this life been bit with the jug bug. They aren't all in one place to pull out or I'd do it now but one day I will post some of mine to my blog, when I;m in the modd to pull oput and take pics. I will however appreciate mine all the more now when I open a cabinet and see one in there..I'll smile and think of you! I also enjoyed your artwork for the event to support breast cancer.

Carol, I'm overwhelmed by your collection. You obviously have a very large china cabinet! Hmmm, do you have a favorite?

Hope the severe winds didn't affect you.
