Happy first days of April!

Hello dear blogging friends and readers and welcome in April!

I've had quite a busy weekend with my mums b-day party and lot's of other things to do, so I didn't get around to take many new pictures of the garden nor to create in my studio.

But I've got this beautiful parcel from Lilia over at Flea Market Studios Etsy shop last week and couldn't wait to see all the lovely vintage wallpaper pieces and millinery flowers and laces I have purchased with her gorgeous Mothers Day Packs:

The content:

Then here is a bit more of my Easter decoration to share with you:

The next pic is taken at Mum's place. I got her the delicate glass Easter eggs which are hanging from the branches for another of her b-days. (Clicking on pic to enlarge somehow doesn't work with this picture so I give you the link to the bigger version here for the case that you'd like to see more details)

Talking about my mum, my daugther has made her this delightful Birthday basket, with my supplies:

It contains her present for my mum which was this big, darkgreen, real Emu egg lying in a real moss nest:

Isn't it a gorgeous gift?
Happy first days of April everyone! xox
P.S. I can't wait for all of you who were at Artfest over the last few days to come back and show and tell everything about it on your blogs!

There are so many good things to view in this post that I don't know which to comment on. That large green egg is amazing and the basket your daughter made is perfect.

I need to go back and look at it all once more.

My youngest boy was sitting with me when I read your blog and he said, "AWWWW those are cute bunnies!"

You have such lovely photos of your treasures! And your daughter shares your beautiful talent, Carol!

Oh my goodness, your daughter has your creative gene! The gift she made is so delightful *whispering my birth date in her ear, LOL* and that egg- wow!!

Oh Carol, I sure wish you lived closer so you could come put your magical touches on my outdoors areas! Do you know I studied your garden space pictures trying to pick up a technique or two from you? Spring is suppose to be staying one of these days here and I'm just itching to get it all pretty.

May I ask what your mother is going to do with the Emu egg, that is so interesting, I don't think I've ever seen that as a present.

I just love your easter decorations. And your photos of them are beautiful, as always! And what a clever and creative daughter you have (takes after her mother, no doubt). Your mother must have been very pleased.

Such lovely photos Carol. I can't wait to come back and see what else your up to. I loved the Bunny. The emu egg reminded me of my grandfather. He passed away about 3 years ago. We had taken him out to supper one afternoon and on the way home he had a puzzled look on his face. I said "Papa, what's wrong?" He said ohhh I was just studying", I asked what about. He said, "Them was the long leggedest turkeys I've ever seen in my life!" We had just passed an emu farm. It was hard for me not to chuckle loudly. It was such an innocent remark. He was astounded at the big "turkeys" lol He was very frail and was in the beginning stages of alzheimers. I loved caring for him, and considered it an honor. He sure kept us going. I'm adding you to my favorite neighbors list, can't wait to come visit again. Have a wonderful day.

Oh, an emu egg? I've never seen something like this before, a very special gift indeed! What's its country of origin?

Was liegen da übrigens für kleinere Eier vor dem Spiegel, sind das Krackelé-Eier (schreibt man das so?)

BTW, thanks a lot for your nice comment on my pottery balls. I did not at all expect that overwhelming feedback on my blog... ;-))

Hi, I find your blog in Mias linklist, and I really like it. So many pretty things you have in your garden, and in your home. The vintage eggs looks great. :) I saw your Garden sign over your shelf outside, very nice. Earlier today I orderd one from a netshop. :) I have had the same idea as you in my mind. :) I will like to put you among my links, if it is ok. :) My blog is; http://huldals.blogspot.com

Dear Sweet Carol =^..^

Oh ... I have missed so much while I was away! I am giddy with excitement at the prospect of having your posts to read! The Easter decorations are WONDERFUL.

The cloak with bunny postcard, the eggs under ... Oh and I adore snowdrops! But what else caught my eye was behind it all ... on the wall. Three little dolls ::SIGH:: how lovely an idea! A row of angels!

I have missed you! So wonderful to find you visiting my blog all along ... and all the sweet ::wishes:: you have sent my way. Chichi of course sends his love! (I promise to post about him again ... the little dickens is still a mama's boy and hangs around in the gardens!

Oh too much to say here ... Must write you soon. So much to tell. I have not forgotten to write you back about the Etsy shoppe ... I just can't figure out how to answer the Etsy "conversations" from which you wrote! Oh dear ... more to learn! ::giggle:: More to write to you about!

Your blog looks so yummy with Spring. I am inspired to change mine! I should!

This comment is turning into a novela ...
I should say goodnight!

Love Love LOVE, =^..^= zU
