Little dollhouse world

Yesterday I took lot's of photos of my mum's antique collections and because I'm inspired by the "Club Little House" over @ http://inspireco.blogspot.com/ and also by Ulla's photos and descriptions of her gorgeous dollhouse @ http://ullam.typepad.com/ullabenulla/ I thought I'll show you the dollhouse rooms first, so this is mum's dollhouse kitchen:

better to see in some detail shots:

My mum has a room in her house where the kitchen is displayed and also this tiny living room with very old furnitures:

and further she has this displayed, which is normal dollsize:

and maybe some of you are also interested in seeing this ?

Well, I also have close up photos from the pram and the cabinet but somehow blogger decided that I can't show more photos in this post *rollseyes*. Also I have a lot more shots of mum's antique dolls and other collections, so if you like to see them I'd show more in another post.

P.S. Ulla, I couldn't find the time to get my dollhouse and stuff out of the basement yet, the good weather is back and this is no time to search for things downstairs, but I promise I'll do it sometime this year. In winter I have more time to clean up the basement and get it all out and I'm looking forward to place it in my bedroom, I found the perfect seat for it now :D

Grey Saturday, colorful flowers!

So today was a grey (weather like) saturday and I've spent the whole day in my little studio space working on a christmas stocking collage and a paper theatre. So much fun! The stocking is finished, but I suppose it's too early to post it and the theatre has a winter scene as well, so I'll better show you some more garden pictures which I took yesterday:

Late summer beauties!

Back to the garden for a post about my late summer beauties! I haven't posted about my garden for over 2 weeks now! *EEK*

The sweet pea "Matacuna" is still flowering very well and scenting better than ever when you pass by:

My rose "Rosarium Glücksburg" is flowering again and making me happy:

This is the fairytale rose "Bremer Stadtmusikanten" (Town musician of Bremen), which I have bought as a birthday present for my dear neighbor Ulla who's b-day is on Monday, it also smells just wonderful:

And this my David Austin rose "Wenlock" flowering again:

And my "Claude Monet" the painter rose has got new buds too:

The Penstemon which I had left outside last winter is now flowering for the first time this year:

And the Sedums "Herbstfreude" and "Matrona" are the stars of my border right now:

My space and rose collage

So this is my space where I sit and create, I had moved it upstairs in our loft room, so that I don't have to tidy up all the time and at first I had difficulties getting used to my new work space, but now, after a few finished projects I'm quite happy with it.

This weekend I was working on a rose collage as you can see here, and I found my old excersice book from my first year at school back in 1969! Now I'm thinking about how to incorporate it in my next collage:

When the collage was finally finished it was almost dark outside:

This is the left side of my little studio space. I still need lots of things like shelfs to get organised, especially for all the papers!

Oh and you know what, I have just realised that I've almost missed my 1 year blogging anniversary lol I've started blogging here last year in September and now it's September again. Time flies, but in this year I've made so many great friends through this blog and got so much inspiration through reading your blogs that I wanna thank you all again for stopping by my blog and commenting and for inspiring me! xox

Altered glass jar

This is my first altered glass jar. I still love the bird and nest theme as you can see. I have always found glass jars very fascinating, so altering glass jars is something new and exciting for me, there are so many possibilities especially for the x-mas time. I will have to look out for interesting empty glass jars everywhere now.

I've used the gorgeous pink paper tinsel for the nest whith which Cerri had packed the bird swap parcel for me and the tiny bird eggs she was also so friendly to have sent me.

Now this is what I've bought last weekend in the African bead & button shop in our "Schnoor-Quarter" of which I forgot to take a photo:

I loved the tiny glass stars and the fish and I'm also a sucker for pearly buttons (nacre).
