Welcome to Boxwood Cottage!

So glad that you found me! My blog is about everything I love like gardening, decorating my home & garden and crafting. Although I'm from Germany I write my blog in English so that hopefully every visitor can read it. Hope you'll stay a while and will leave me a comment so that I know that you were here! xoxo Carola

This and that

from my weekend.

First off all I've got such nice mail from Joy on Friday. She has sent me a lovely handmade, collaged card and an ATC to thank me for her pink swap parcel. Joy thanks a lot, I really appreciate that you took the time to write me and I like your art very much! :D

Then I have a new Sammy picture to share, which my daughter took:

And this is what I've got myself from a voucher that I had won in our garden center, it's a bit autumn/fall like already, but that's how feel too, although we've had quite nice weather this last weekend with temperatures around 21 deegree celsius and we could even sit outside for barbeque in the evening:

and a beautiful new Echeveria:

I've had a really nice weekend and I hope you too!

Second array of roses

My "Rokoko" rose is flowering for the second time now, yeah!

so is my David Austin "Heritage" rose

I've just had to cut some to take them inside, because the weather is quite cool and rainy at the moment, really autumn/fall like

Cosmos is blooming quite well now:

so are my Morning Glories:

Other roses are getting fresh sprouts and buds now, well I guess the summer will come back again sooner or later.

Another day, another swap!

The Pink Swap!

This delightful swap, as posted before, was organised by Sandy from Arttealife.blogspot.com and I enjoyed participating very much! Yesterday I found my gorgeous swap parcel from my dear Australian blogging friend Mrs. Robyn on the stairs in front of my house when I came home from work. I knew at once that it was the pink swap parcel, because it was packed in pink paper! What a joy do receive such a parcel! Here are all the goodies:

I could't take single photos of everything this time, because my batteries went low, but I think one can see all the lovely things quite well on this picture. There is a big pink and white tea towel, very elegant pink garden gloves, a crotcheted doily, a rose scenting soap bar, two pink bath lotions, an enchanting little tarte form and a beautiful vintage card called "The pink of perfection" and a self made pink tag. I like it very much and I'm going to use it all Robyn and I'm very thankful for your friendship and generosity. Oh I just love 2 swap! xox

More of mum's garden

As requested by Maria I'd like to show you some more pictures taken in my mum's garden :

I love my mum's Phlox, it's perfectly clean white and fresh:

You can click on the following pic to see it in a bigger version:

Of course she also has a wonderful pink Phlox:

As beautiful and perfect as the Phlox grows in her garden, the many different hydrangeas do too, I love this light pink one:

Here is another picture of it that blogger won't show at the mo *rollseyes*:

This is a blue hydrangea together with the white sort "Annabelle" in her frontgarden:

and here are some flowers from her patio/terrace:
