Welcome to Boxwood Cottage!

So glad that you found me! My blog is about everything I love like gardening, decorating my home & garden and crafting. Although I'm from Germany I write my blog in English so that hopefully every visitor can read it. Hope you'll stay a while and will leave me a comment so that I know that you were here! xoxo Carola

Window shopping in Bremen

At first we have a clothes and accessories shop:

Then my favorite, a toy shop, I think Ulla would like this shop too, already for their gorgeous carrousels and doll house furnitures etc.:

Then a This & That shop:

and a gorgeous old fashioned sweets shop:

Then a lovely tin & enamel shop, all you can buy there is made out of tin, like signs, boxes etc.:

a tourist & souvenir shop, where you can by mementos of Bremen

a doll shops with puppets on a string etc.

and a tea shop with some fairies and christmas bubbles etc.

That's it for today, there are many more gorgeous shops in the "Schnoor Quarter", but I couldn't take pictures of all of them. What would you like to buy?

So when I come to Bremen I can stay in your home, have tea in your garden, and you will take me out sightseeing and shopping. Is that so? :-)

I'm with Britt-arnhild. Sounds like a plan. All the shops look so inviting but if I have to pick one I think it would be the fairy shop. I will have to tell NG to visit your site today, she loves fairies. TWT

I think my first stop would be the sweet shop to get something to eat while browsing in the other shops! Then to the toy shop to relive my youth. And probably the puppet shop. We don't have shops like that where I live- you are so lucky!

What a wonderful shopping spree! I would have to go into the this and that shop, then buy a couple of tin boxes, some tea, and a puppet, maybe a fairy, and lastly some sweets for energy to keep shopping!

Thank you for taking us on this tour of shops.

What a wonderful experience to be shopping in the Schnoor Quarter. I’d love to be there. Spoiled for choice! What would I choose, it would be very difficult to decide. Thanks for treating me to such wonderful sights. Marion

I have been silently reading your posts for about a month now, and needed to pop in and tell you how wonderful your pictures are. My son and daughter-in-law live in Germany. We are hoping to be able to visit them next year. You're pictures have made me even more excited for the upcoming trip. Thank you!

Oh, I just love window shopping! I don't even have to buy anything to enjoy myself -- though I suspect I wouldn't be able to get out of the candy shop without buying something sweet.

What a pretty place you live in! The german architecture is so beautiful and I love the historical building with all the wonderful details. Oh yes, the Bremen Town Musicians....that's where I've heard the name Bremen...of course!
Thanks for the tour and these wonderful photos Carol :)
